let's just get it out of the way...COVID-19
I am NOT shy. I am as extroverted as they get.
COVID-19 has come into our lives and turned them upside down. Exactly one month from starting a new job, I am now working remotely. I am thankful that I have a job and am doing everything I can to figure all this out. I can’t lie though. I’m scared. Scared for my mental health. Scared for my children’s health. Scared for my job security. Scared for my husband’s job security. Scared for my children’s schooling.
There is one thing I can say right now though, life has changed - FOREVER. There seems to be some good coming out of this already, for my family anyway. Today is Day 2 of everyone being home. We have had lunch AND dinner together - AT THE ACTUAL TABLE! Joe is snacking less and eating meals. Gracie is helpful and loves hanging out in my office while I work. She has done amazing at getting started on her schoolwork.
We all know the news, and I’m not here to restate or analyze. I am here to let everyone know, you aren’t alone. We can choose to look at this as an opportunity to slow down, to change our mindset, to find what really matters most to us. Let’s see where social distancing takes us.
